TINSUKIA: The recent death of a pregnant woman in a medical facility on Tuesday caused a very volatile situation in Tinsukia. Following the incident, a judicial enquiry has been ordered into the situation on Thursday

The woman belonging to the Nokhrai Gaon locality of the Tinsukia district of the state was admited to the Aditya Nursing Home following health conditions, wherein she had died because during treatments. Following the incident, the friends and family members of the woman raised a hue and cry in the Aditya Nursing Home. They raised the allegation that the woman had died because of the incorrect medical treatment by the doctors in the medical facility.

The relatives as well as the local people put the blame on the doctor who was in charge of the medical procedure of the woman and demanded very strict action against him. Following this development, the District Commissioner of Tinsukia passed an order to conduct a judicial enquiry into the incident with Dimpy Bhattacharyya, ALRS, Circle Officer(A), appointed to conduct a thorough magisterial inquiry into the matter, adhering to established protocols and procedures.

“It has been brought to the notice of the undersigned by way of media report alleging that a pregnant woman namely Mitali Das of Nokhrai Gaon has passed away on 29.08.2023 due to wrong treatment by the doctors of Aditya Nursing Home at Tinsukia

In view of the above, Smti Dimpy Bhattacharyya ALRS, Circle Officer(A), Tinsukia is hereby entrusted to conduct a magisterial enquiry into the matter by observing all the formalities as per norms & procedure. During the enquiry Jt. Director of Health Services, Tinsukia shall assist Smti Dimpy Bhattacharjee, ALRS, Circle Officer (A), Tinsukia

Smti Dimpy Bhattacharyya, ALRS, Circle Officer(A), Tinsukia will submit a detailed report with views & comments within 10(ten) days of receipt of this order.” mentioned the order from the District Commissioner.
